Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Assistant with skills and knowledge in Pain Management to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pain management clinic and contribute to delivering the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the pain management team to assist in patient assessments, evaluations, and treatments. Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment. Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures, taking vital signs and documenting medical histories accurately. Assist healthcare providers during pain management procedures, offering support and ensuring patient comfort. Administer medications and injections as directed by providers, adhering to established protocols and guidelines. Perform routine administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and updating electronic health records (EHR) accurately. Educate patients about pain management techniques, procedures, and post-treatment care instructions. Provide exceptional patient-centered care, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and effective communication skills.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in taking accurate vital signs, administering injections, and handling medical equipment. Understanding of pain management procedures, techniques, and terminology. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical software applications. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
