Job Duties:
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies Organize and arrange examining-room instruments, equipment, purchase and maintain supplies, and keep examination rooms neat and clean Room the patient and verify patient information by interviewing patients and reviewing medical history; updating medical history and confirming the purpose of the visit Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood—pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials along with documenting the visit along with services performed in EMR software. Schedule procedures in the office or make arrangements with the surgical center; verify times with patients; prepare charts, pre-admission, and consent forms Counsel patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions and explaining treatment procedures, medications, and physicians' instructions Authorize mediation refills requests and provide prescription information to pharmacies Contact medical facilities or departments to schedule patients for tests or admission
