Job Description

Position Summary Our mission is to ensure our patients receive excellent care with a convenient, cooperative, and cost-effective atmosphere by providing experienced and efficient orthopaedic and surgical expertise. The Clinical Assistant is a vital member of the healthcare team who provides high-quality clinical support while delivering exceptional customer service. This position is cross trained to assist with front office operations and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) services as needed to promote efficient clinic operations, ensure continuity of patient care, and provide a seamless patient experience. The Clinical Assistant works collaboratively with providers and team members to support the organization's commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care. Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent required
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Registered Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Orthopaedic Technician/ LPN / CNA / ATC Job Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-focused clinic.
  • Room patients, perform H&Ps, obtain vital signs, and document in the EMR.
  • Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures.
  • Apply splints and casts as directed.
  • Prepare injections, perform dressing changes, and remove sutures within scope of practice.
  • Provide patient education and distribute provider-directed documentation.
  • Fit, dispense, and document Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and DME inventory.
  • Assist with patient registration, check-in/check-out.
  • Update patient information, scan documents, and collect patient payments.
  • Answer clinical and front office telephone calls.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Report to work as scheduled, including with limited advance notice when needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationship The Clinical Assistant reports to the
Clinical Manager Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
