Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Podiatry Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support our podiatrists by providing exceptional patient care, managing clinical tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help enhance patient experiences and contribute to our mission of improving mobility and quality of life for every patient. Responsibilities Assist podiatrists during patient examinations and procedures, including preparing treatment areas and handling necessary instruments Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Prepare patients for appointments by collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and wound care as directed by providers Manage patient intake processes, verify insurance information, and update medical records with precision Support administrative functions like scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and maintaining organized medical records Ensure compliance with safety protocols including basic life support (BLS) procedures and infection control standards Requirements Proven experience in medical office support or as a medical assistant within outpatient or clinic settings Knowledge of dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine is a plus Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ICD coding, and medical documentation practices Certification in basic life support (BLS) is preferred Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medication administration Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as hospital or outpatient clinics with inpatient experience preferred Prior experience with EMR/EHR management systems is highly desirable Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to making a difference in patients' lives through expert foot and ankle care.
