Job Description

Looking for an employee with a positive personality to join our Foot and Ankle Center in prime location in Chesterfield, Va 23112. Medical office experience is not necessary. As long as you have good work ethic with positive attitude and adaptability, we welcome all candidates! Full time is preferred but part time is position can be accommodated as well. As a Podiatry Medical Assistant /Receptionist you will have extensive opportunities for direct patient care and hands on experiences unlike other medical offices. As a private office working with one doctor, you will get to work directly with the doctor. The job will be excellent position for any applicant looking to get clinical hours/ experiences for medical school/ PA school/nursing schools and many more. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support the doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Core Duties:
Transfer medical charts from AI scribe to EHR Prepare and assist in all injections Run autoclave and clean instrument Assist during medical examinations/ procedures Apply cast, dressings and dispense DME Prepare and clean treatment rooms Attend to patients messages and return them Obtain authorization for a procedure Take x rays Perform laser treatment-certification will be provided Scan for custom orthotics using digital system Go over insurance benefit details with the patient regarding procedure and DME Answer patient phone calls to schedule appointment and handle patient calls for medical messages.
Requirements:
X ray certification is a plus but not required Ability to handle multi-line calls with phone calls with confidence and professionalism High school diploma or GED is required Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required Above average computer, printer, scanner, phone system knowledge is required Experience with Electronic Health Records systems is a plus Knowledge in medial insurance terminology is a plus Ability to multi-take and attention to detail is required Social perceptiveness and service oriented is required Medical office experience preferred but not required Benefits Potential bonus after satisfactory completion of 90 days and after regular performance review Excellent opportunity to start a career in medial field and fast track to become an office manager Hourly wages will vary depending on experience and educational level and other factors Small office, friendly environment, only work with one doctor.
