Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, medical procedures, and administrative support within diverse clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient services in outpatient medicine. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting physicians and healthcare professionals by ensuring smooth clinical operations and delivering compassionate patient care. Duties Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and updating electronic health records (EHR systems). Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately and efficiently. Screen telephone calls and faxes and refer to the provider as appropriate. Schedule/coordinate patient appointments, test and/or procedures. Perform and/or assist the provider with specific procedures as directed, including those with sterile technique. Inform patients of normal test results per direction of the provider, via telephone or mail. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. Obtain and maintain competency to perform Drug & Alcohol screening certification Experience Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant in urgent care, outpatient clinics is preferred but willing to teach. Demonstrated proficiency with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions including appointment scheduling and insurance documentation. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to outpatient care settings. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and basic life support (BLS) certification is required. Ability to adapt quickly within fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
