- The Medical Assistant position is responsible for coordinating and assisting the provider to ensure safe quality/cost-effective service and care for the people within the practice population.
- This position will work at:
- 1212 Harrison Ave., NW Olympia 98502 Hours for this position: Monday - Thursday, 7:00-5:30
Primary Responsibilities:
- + Working the front desk to be the first friend face to greet patients + Collects patient assessment data to include height, weight, vital signs, chief complaint/symptoms, and current medications for assessment by licensed staff + Prepares the patient for provider evaluation by obtaining specimens, positioning for exams, listing medications, and assisting during exams and procedures + Maintains work area, exam treatment, and lab in a clean, safe manner; restock with supplies as needed + Assists with lab procedures by collecting urine specimens, collecting, and preparing blood samples for reference lab; labeling all specimens with accurate patient ID as ordered by the physician + Documents patient information in the medical record to include updated treatment procedures, medication refills, test results, and patient concerns, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- + Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program + BLS/CPR required upon hire + Proficiency with MS Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
- + Current MA Certification + 1+ years of clinic experience + EMR / ECW Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
