$15.00 - $20.00 / Hour Apply For This Job Overview Join a well-established outpatient clinical setting in the region as a Medical Assistant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in cardiology outpatient clinics, providing vital support to healthcare professionals and patients alike. If you have at least six months of medical assisting experience and are looking to make a meaningful impact within a busy clinical environment, this position is ideal for you. Responsibilities Room patients and prepare patient charts for examinations and procedures Answer patient questions via phone and electronic medical records systems Process patient paperwork accurately and efficiently Assist clinical staff with daily outpatient operations in a cardiology setting Chart entries and documentation in EPIC electronic health record system Support patient flow and ensure smooth clinic operations Required Skills Healthcare terminology knowledge Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system Experience in adult outpatient clinics, particularly cardiology Ability to perform rooming, patient communication, and document processing tasks Reliable transportation to and from the clinic location Additional Skills & Requirements Current BLS certification MA-CS certification required; MA-R is not accepted at this time At least 6 months of medical assisting experience in outpatient settings Valid license in the region; compact license preferred Availability to work day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Must commit to working three of five designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Ability to pass background checks and comply with facility policies Local candidates within 50 miles are preferred This role provides a valuable opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a fast-paced outpatient cardiology environment.
