This role also coordinates with providers, pharmacies, and care teams to ensure safe and effective treatment. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including observation, vital signs, and clinical support Administer medications (oral and injectable) and monitor for side effects Collect patient history, perform medication reconciliation, and document visits Perform in-house testing (e.g., EKG, phlebotomy, urine screening) as ordered Process prescription refills and prior authorizations Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and prescribing systems Collaborate with providers, pharmacies, and care teams Support medication services in clinic and residential/respite settings Educate clients on medication use and self-administration Ensure compliance with confidentiality laws and agency policies Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant program Eligible for Washington State MA-C certification At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening Skills & Abilities Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Knowledge of medication administration and basic clinical procedures Experience with electronic medical records preferred Work Environment & Physical Requirements Frequent standing/walking; occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) Exposure to clinical and behavioral health environments May include occasional evenings or weekends •Peninsula Behavioral Health does not discriminate because of a person's presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability, race, creed, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity including transgender status, marital status, pregnancy, childbirth, and pregnancy-related conditions, age (40), honorably discharged veteran or military status, or use of a trained dog guide or service animal by a person with a disability, state employee or health care whistleblower status.
