We offer excellent benefits and Monday through Friday working hours with four day or part time options available. Our practice is fast paced, and no two days are the same! Travel as needed required:
University Place, Puyallup and Gig Harbor Essential Duties Perform retinal and ophthalmic photography including Fluorescein and/or Indocyanine Green Angiography (FA/ICG), OCT, Fundus Photography as ordered by physician
  • Perform venipuncture to administer intravenous dye for imaging
  • Counsel patient regarding procedure risks and obtain informed consent for testing Assist with minor surgical procedures; prepare consent forms for signature, organize instruments and/or supplies, clean, dry, sterilize/autoclave instruments Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision Interact professionally with other employees, supervisors, patients and providers Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees, supervisors and providers Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit and capturing all Meaningful Use measures in the patient's Electronic Health Record (EHR) and PQRS.
Prepares patients for examination by performing all pre-ordered testing as well as routine testing followed by rooming the patient. Monitor patient flow by directing providers to the next patient; overseeing the providers schedule to maintain "on-time" status; check reception area to ensure all patients are accounted for. Qualifications Education/Experience Certified Medical Assistant Required.
  • Proof of completion of a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant program preferred but not required.
