Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to supporting both patients and providers in delivering high-quality healthcare services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations, treatments, and procedures. Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent patient information. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while ensuring comfort and confidentiality. Administer medications, injections, and treatments within the scope of practice and clinic protocols. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain examination and treatment rooms to ensure a safe and efficient clinical environment. Perform specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and other clinical duties as assigned. Support front-office operations, including patient registration, scheduling, medical records management, and other administrative functions as needed. Assist with patient education, follow-up communication, and care coordination. Adhere to all clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols. Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned to support clinic operations and patient care. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and current certification or eligibility for certification preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Experience in an outpatient, primary care, family practice, dermatology, or wellness clinic preferred. Proficiency with electronic health record systems; experience with Athenahealth (Athena EMR) is highly preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional patient service.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
