Some technical requirements for this position are: Active Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse License, and/or unencumbered Medical Assistant Certification or Registration through an accredited agency (CCMA, RMA, CMA, etc.). Bilingual in English/Spanish required. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred, but we are willing to train new Medical Assistants. Day:
Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Take patient histories and vital signs. Document information accurately using appropriate forms and charting format in health care information record. Perform intake procedures and assist providers with patients as directed by Medical Assistant Supervisor and YNHS providers. Maintain patient confidentiality. Assist with patient follow‑up activities, including referrals, recall and other patient needs. Assist other medical services staff with patient flow as needed and/or directed. Assist with supply management and appropriate stocking of exam rooms. Maintain proper sanitation standards, according to YNHS procedure, both with cleaning and sterilization procedures of patient facilities and instruments. Administer procedures as directed by supervisors and in accordance with Washington State Health Care Assistant regulations. Maintain organized, clean, efficient and confidential work area. Represent YNHS in local meetings as requested. Perform related work and other tasks as requested.
