Beloit Clinic West Side Clinic As a Medical Assistant , you will support physicians and other licensed healthcare professionals while ensuring a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include both clinical and administrative duties that contribute to quality patient care and efficient clinic operations.
The Medical Assistant will:
Prepare patient documentation and medical records before appointments Escort patient to room, obtains vitals and updates medical record, which would include a brief medical history or chief complaint, current medication, allergies, smoking status, pain status, immunization status, and all meaningful use data collection. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Verify and document procedure consents Assist providers during examinations and procedures Administer medications as ordered and accurately document treatment Assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments Support patient and family education Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards Complete prior authorizations and pre-certifications Process patient forms, including FMLA, short-term disability, and long-term disability paperwork Manage medication refill requests according to established protocols Handle and triage phone calls under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional Maintain accurate electronic medical records Order and maintain clinical supplies Clean and stock exam rooms Participate in quality improvement activities and department initiatives
Job Requirements:
Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) at the time of hire CPR certification within three months of hire Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care Experience in Family Practice preferred with experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Two years of clinical experience preferred Apply today and become part of a team dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community.
