May specialize in administrative or clinical work, or specialize in a particular area of medicine, i.e. assisting in the office of an ophthalmologist (eye specialist). Works in medical offices.

Job Description

The Clinic 2nd Assist will perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative tasks may include scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records. Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and preparing patients for examination. This position is a 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) and will require travel to other OSMS locations.
Education and Experience:
High School Graduate or GED required CNA or MA certificate, or equivalent experience/education required. 1+ years' experience in a medical setting preferred. Clinical experience in orthopedics is preferred.
