Job Description

Join Our Team Arbor Place is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support medication services within our residential treatment programs. If you're passionate about helping individuals in recovery and enjoy working in a structured, team-based environment, we'd love to hear from you. This role plays a vital part in ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient medication administration for our clients while supporting overall clinical operations. As a Medical Assistant at Arbor Place, you will: Medication Administration & Support Assist with daily medication passes for residential clients Administer medications in accordance with policies and regulations Accurately document all medications in the MAR system Monitor and support clients during medication administration Communicate any concerns to appropriate team members Coordination & Workflow Lead morning and midday medication passes across both residential buildings Coordinate medication schedules and follow up on missed doses Assist with PRN medications when appropriate Documentation & Medication Management Enter and update medication orders in the MAR Support medication reconciliation for new admissions Track medication changes, refills, and discontinuations Maintain organized and compliant documentation Pharmacy Coordination Coordinate refills and communicate with pharmacies Track incoming medications and resolve delays Assist with prior authorizations and clarifications Medication Room Oversight Maintain clean, organized, and compliant medication rooms Monitor expiration dates and inventory Participate in controlled substance counts Ensure all medications are stored safely and properly Clinical & Team Support Assist providers and staff with medication-related tasks Communicate updates to residential and clinical teams Complete and record vital signs, withdrawal scores, or other pertinent assessments in the medical record. Conduct urine drug screens (UAs) for both residential and outpatient clients
Other Duties:
Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Medical Director, Executive Director, and/or Board of Directors.
Minimum Qualifications:
CBRF (Community-Based Residential Facility) certification- Medication Administration. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass a Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) credential through AAMA or an equivalent nationally recognized certifying body. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Experience working in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or residential settings. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR); experience with InSync is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, and occasional driving company vehicle. Active role requiring standing and movement during medication passes Ability to move between residential buildings Benefits for
