We're Looking For:

High School Diploma or GED required. Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify. Phlebotomy skills are preferred .

Full Time, 40 hours weekly. Monday-Friday, schedule hours are during core clinic hours of 8am-5pm. Primary coverage in Podiatry and assist Orthopedics as needed. As a Medical Assistant , you'll play a vital role in the care team - supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day. As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will: Welcome patients and support their transition into care. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings. Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures. Administer medications and vaccines as directed. Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing. Document care accurately in the electronic health record. Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

About This Location:

The Aurora Podiatry clinic at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center (2801 W Kinnickinnic River Pkwy, Ste. 175) provides comprehensive orthopedic and surgical care for the foot, ankle, and lower leg. The clinic's board-certified podiatrists and foot and ankle specialists develop customized treatment plans spanning musculoskeletal, vascular, neurological, and dermatological conditions. This role also assists as needed in the Orthopedics Clinics (Ste. 370), where patients are treated for bone, joint, and muscle conditions. Your feedback matters. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday. Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other team member, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case- by -case basis. Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills. Will be exposed to the following hazards on a frequent basis: mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood and body fluids. Will be required to wear protective clothing and equipment as needed.
