Job Description

Join our growing team! We have an exciting opportunity to join our team of Medical Assistants. Surgical Associates of Neenah, S. C. is a private practice and has been providing surgical expertise since we opened our doors in 1967. We are seeking to to hire a positive, self motivated, team oriented Medical Assistant to work with our surgical patients. •This position will work four days per week, typically two days in Shawano and two days in New London.
Job Description:
Room patients, take vitals, update medications and health history Review medications and provide instructions for upcoming surgeries Assist RN with in basket work Prepare electronic charts for upcoming visits Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments Complete medication prior authorizations Patient registration Scheduling appointments Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program(preferred) Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times Must be detail-oriented and highly organized Knowledge of patient care, medications and examination procedures Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills a must EMR experience (Epic preferred) Ability to develop improvement plans and efficiency in work flows
