Job Description

Tosa Pediatrics is an independently owned practice that serves children and their families in the greater Milwaukee area. Named "Top Choice in Pediatrics" by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for 6 years, the clinic aims to provide the best in pediatric care while maintaining the personal touch of a small group practice. Our fast-paced pediatric office is seeking an energetic individual to work as a part time Medical Assistant. This position provides high quality care directly and indirectly to patients; therefore, the ideal candidate must be friendly, dependable and a team player. Open to candidates interested in working full or part-time but must have open availability.
Hours:
9am - 5/5:30pm and one Saturday per month 8am-11am. The position offers paid holidays, PTO package, amazing 401k retirement plan. The position does not offer health, dental or vision benefits.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare patient rooms and assist physicians with exams and procedures Measure and record vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, etc Administers and documents routine medications including immunizations, antibiotics, and intramuscular medication injections. Conducts COVID testing, runs appropriate test and contacts patients with test results. Assist with processing prescription refills Perform capillary phlebotomy and process in-house labs or cultures Maintain confidentiality of all patient and organization information and follow HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Graduate of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program Higher wage for those with an associate's degree One to five years of experience; pediatric experience is a plus Excellent skills in verbal and written communication Ability to perform detailed work in a fast-paced environment
