Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits. Perform basic clinical procedures such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and wound care under supervision. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient information, medical histories, treatment plans, and ICD coding for diagnoses. Support patient service efforts by answering questions, providing clear instructions, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit. Handle administrative duties including scheduling appointments, managing medical records, verifying insurance information, and assisting with billing processes. Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and ensure all clinical areas are sanitized according to health standards. Maintain cleanliness of office during downtime Experience Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential for accurate documentation. Prior experience in hospital medicine or inpatient settings enhances your ability to support complex patient needs effectively. Knowledge of pharmacology principles and medication administration procedures is highly desirable. Demonstrated competence in phlebotomy, vital signs collection, ICD coding, and medical documentation practices. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical-surgical procedures to support comprehensive patient care.
