Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support in a dynamic and fast-paced clinic. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting medical providers in various aspects of patient care, including routine medical procedures, venipuncture, and patient education. Compensation will be DOE. Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Check patients in for appointment
- Assist physicians, Advanced Practice Providers and nursing staff with patient examinations, lab tests, and medical procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Accurately measure vital signs and provide patient education on medication usage and medical conditions.
- Perform ECGs, phlebotomy, and other medical procedures as needed.
- Assist with in office surgical procedures and coordinate pre-op and post-op care.
- Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize medical terminology and physiology knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare providers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical education Completion of MA program or equivalent experience.
- Min 1 year experience working in outpatient medical clinic preferred.
- Knowledge of internal medicine and medical-surgical procedures.
- Proficient with sterile technique.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
