Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support in a dynamic and fast-paced clinic. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting medical providers in various aspects of patient care, including routine medical procedures, venipuncture, and patient education. If you have a strong foundation in medical-surgical knowledge, a passion for internal medicine, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply. Compensation will be DOE. Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
  • Check patients in for appointment
  • Assist physicians, Advanced Practice Providers and nursing staff with patient examinations, lab tests, and medical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Accurately measure vital signs and provide patient education on medication usage and medical conditions.
  • Perform ECGs, phlebotomy, and other medical procedures as needed.
  • Assist with in office surgical procedures and coordinate pre-op and post-op care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Utilize medical terminology and physiology knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare providers.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical education Completion of MA program or equivalent experience.
  • Min 1 year experience working in outpatient medical clinic preferred.
  • Knowledge of internal medicine and medical-surgical procedures.
  • Proficient with sterile technique.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
