Jefferson Regional Health Information Management Job Summary:
The Certified Coder/ Abstractor is responsible for analyzing patient records and assigning appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and industry best practices.Certified Coder Abstractor Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in Healthcare, Healthcare Information Management or Administration, or other related field preferred.One or more of the following:

Minimum Requirements:
Excellent reading comprehensionExcellent communication skills, written/verbalAbility to be flexible with regulator/payer changesMust be capable of working independently and able to complete all tasks correctly and completely with minimal supervisionCompetent with computers and able to learn and adapt to software implementations, changes, or any other updates that require a pivot in daily workflowPreferred Requirements:
