What You'll Be Doing:
Here at BridgePoint the Coder is responsible for assignment of codes for all diagnoses and procedures which occurred during a patient encounter. The Coder is responsible for abstracting pertinent data in the hospital information system to ensure correct billing and indexing. Medical Billing, Medical Coding, Medical Coder, Coder, Insurance Verification, Patient Coding, Billing Coding.
RHIT, CCS, Hospital Coding Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Licenses/Certification:
Current CCS or RHIT credentials required.
Experience:
Four years hospital coding experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of current coding guidelines.
