Responsibilities Prepares medical billing claims to insurance companies using appropriate coding systems such as

ICD-10 -9.

Review patient records for accuracy and completeness before billing. Maintain organized medical records to ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate easy access for audits. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any issues related to billing or coding. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices to ensure compliance. Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing or a similar role within a medical office setting. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD-10, ICD-9), DRG, and medical collection processes. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant billing software. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Certification in medical billing or coding is preferred but not required.

Pay:

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
