Essential Functions:

Abstracts pertinent information from patient records Queries physicians when code assignments are not straightforward or documentation in the record is inadequate or unclear for coding purposes Keeps abreast of coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements Abides by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by the

AHIMA Requirements:

Two or more years of inpatient facility coding experience preferred Two or more years of critical access coding preferred Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) upon hire required Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred At NRH, we want to ensure your needs are met.
