•EH SS Job Description:
Responsible for analyzing problematic charges or accounts to determine if there are coding issues that prevent the successful processing of insurance claims. Works with staff to assure accurate, timely resolution of coding issues. Uses ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding and billing knowledge, and awareness of state and federal billing regulations, to recommend and assist in implementing methods for improving coding, billing, and denials management processes. Responsible for, analyzing data, working work queues, and reporting outcomes. Upon request, performs special projects related to coding, denials or billing.Work Experience:
2 years experience coding with ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS.Education Qualifications:
Associate degree in health information management, healthcare, business or related field of study.Required Qualifications:
2 years experience coding with ICD-10,CPT and HCPCS Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
AHIMA credential (RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), RHIT (Registered Health Information technician), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), CPC- H (Certified Professional Coder
- Hospital)) AAPC credential (CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
- Applicable credentialing required within 2 years of date of hire.
