coding of patient diagnostic and procedural information upon admission of the patient in accordance with established coding guidelines, principles, and conventions. Responsible for identifying and assigning

ICD-10-CM

codes to principal and secondary diagnosis on all patients upon admission and for discharged outpatients. Abstract ICD 10 codes coding into the hospital computer system to allow billing to occur. Adhere to regulatory requirement for coding/reimbursement. Qualifications High School Graduate. Good organizational and communications skills. Experience in Medical Records Department or related medical office. Coding Certification Coding experience using ICD-10-CM and
