Job Description
Requires AHIMA or AAPC certification and 3 years of coding experience in a clinic setting. Responsible for reviewing records and assigning ICD-10 and CPT codes for reimbursement consistent with applicable guidelines on inpatient and outpatient records. Also responsible for abstracting statistical information. Must communicate with physicians to clarify diagnoses or procedures when documentation is unclear to ensure appropriate code assignment.
