• Coding Specialist 3, you will serve as a subject matter expert in neurosurgery professional fee coding, independently reviewing complex clinical documentation and assigning accurate codes for surgical procedures, office-based services, and Evaluation & Management encounters.

This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced coding expertise while partnering with providers and revenue cycle professionals to ensure coding accuracy, quality outcomes, and compliance.

• The Role
• In this highly specialized position, you will utilize your expertise in neurosurgery coding to accurately translate complex clinical services into compliant medical codes while supporting reimbursement, reporting, and revenue cycle performance.

Working remotely, you will analyze provider documentation, resolve coding challenges, and help ensure the integrity of coded data across a variety of patient encounters.

Key responsibilities include:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

5+ years of relevant coding experience required. Neurosurgery experience preferred.

Licensure:

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally requires traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. The pay range for this role is $26.00 - $40.57 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
