The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical procedures and diagnoses, managing medical records, and ensuring efficient billing and collections. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and electronic health record (EHR) systems to support seamless patient care and revenue cycle management. Duties Assign appropriate DRG, CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding to medical procedures and diagnoses Review and update medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness Process medical billing submissions using EMR/EHR systems Manage medical collections by following up on unpaid claims and resolving billing discrepancies Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and coding standards Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation for accurate coding Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations Assist in auditing medical records for accuracy and completeness Support the transition to new coding standards or EHR systems as needed Experience Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related healthcare administrative role Knowledge of
