This position is ideal for a newly certified CPC who may be new to professional coding but already has hands-on familiarity with primary care diagnoses, ICD-10 codes, medical terminology, and PCP workflows . Required Background CPC certification Previous experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Experience may be from a prior role such as: Medical Assistant Referral Coordinator Medical Front Desk Patient Care Coordinator Billing or Medical Records Familiarity with common PCP conditions and ICD-10 coding, including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity, preventive care, and other chronic/acute conditions Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (eclinicalworks) Primary Care Experience Candidates should already be familiar with the types of conditions routinely managed in a PCP setting, including (common acute and chronic conditions . ) Extensive professional coding experience is not required. We are specifically seeking an entry-level CPC who already understands the primary care environment and is interested in developing stronger skills in coding, Medicare Advantage, risk adjustment, HCCs, quality measures, and clinical documentation review.
