The Center for Cancer and Blood DIsorders has more than 60 cancer specialists and 400 health care professionals representing many different areas of medical and administrative services across 22 locations in North Texas. We can offer you a competitive salary and a complete benefits package. All full time employees are eligible for an annual profit sharing bonus. This position is also eligible for quarterly bonuses. This is a non-remote position. Duties included, but are not limited to: Assigning appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes, including appropriate modifiers, create and post charges, both automated and manually within the department systems, cross train and mentor all members of the department, subject matter expert for billing and coding issues, provide clinician education on pertinent revenue cycle issues within the department, perform focused coding, billing and documentation audits based on practice needs, communicate billing and coding changes that are impactful to the practice, participate and advocate process development and improvements relevant to department, other duties as assigned. Salary based on knowledge and experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Must be able to communicate with patients, peers, physicians, and the general public. Minimum 1 year experience in medical billing required Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS code sets Medical and/or radiation oncology coding experience preferred Current coding certification required, CPC or CCS preferred Must have ability to thrive in fast paced environment Must have telephone communication and etiquette skills. Must have basic computer skills, including word processing, keyboarding, and ability to learn computerized scheduling system, experience with Centricity a plus. Professional appearance, ability to handle multiple tasks and be a team player.
