Job Description
POSITION
SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIESWorks under the direct supervision of the Outpatient Coding and Reimbursement Manager, Health Information Management. Codes Outpatient Radiology, Laboratory and all other related ambulatory clinical visits for the Outpatient setting. Utilizes the ICD-10-CM and CPT coding classification systems. Ensures proper assignment and completion of Diagnosis and Procedure Coding on all cases. Assists in training of new coding technicians when appropriate. Promotes the Health System's guest relations' policy. Complies with all Federal and State regulations and accrediting bodies including but not limited to HIPAA, JCAHO and state regulations.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or its equivalent is required.
