Job Description
The Inpatient Medical Coder will provide support to the Department of Veterans Affairs by analyzing and abstracting patient health records, then assigning appropriate alpha-numeric codes for diagnoses and procedures. This role requires expertise in the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), and the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS). This is a Part Time opportunity, and coders must commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week, scheduled at your discretion from Monday through Sunday weekly.
