- ISL/LEN, at Gilead you will serve an important leadership role in the USMA team, reporting to the Executive Director.
USMA HIV
strategy team on the cross-functional commercialization team, supporting launch ISL/LEN as a potentially new treatment option, and guiding potential launches of future pipeline products in HIV.Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Medical Leadership & Brand Expertise Acts as a scientific expert and medical affairs leader to foster alignment and collaboration between US Medical Affairs, Global Medical Affairs, and US/Global Commercial teams, with a focus on ISL/LEN commercialization efforts. Serve as the medical and scientific expert for the ISL/LEN portfolio, supporting the commercial strategy and marketing teams specifically for these products. Provide strategic medical input into brand planning, lifecycle management, and commercialization initiatives for ISL/LEN therapies. Represent Medical Affairs in commercialization team meetings, ensuring alignment of medical and commercial strategies for ISL/LEN products. Cross-Functional Communication & Collaboration Communicate medical initiatives, strategies, data timelines, and publication plans related to ISL/LEN to commercial stakeholders. Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Clinical, Public/Government Affairs, and other partner functions to lead or support cross-functional projects for ISL/LEN commercialization. Job Overview The Senior Director (SD) USMA Strategy- HIV will serve an important leadership role in the USMA team reporting to the Executive Director of the HIV Treatment Strategy team.
Basic Qualifications & Requirements:
MD, DO, NP, PA, PharmD, or other advanced health care degree with 8+ years of relevant industry/clinical experience in HIV is required At least 5 years of Pharma industry experience, with leadership roles preferred Excellent verbal, written, visual communication, and interpersonal skills are required, with experience in vendor contracting and preparing budgets, misc. Must be fully cognizant and adhere to regulatory and legal (Business Conduct) requirements for US Medical Affairs activities. Office-based position in Foster City, CA with the ability to travel up to 25 percent to attend cross-functional meetings and conferences including occasional weekends as requiredPreferred Skills:
Experience in the provision of, medical information, slide development, medical writing, and project and conference management required Excel spreadsheets, and delivering PowerPoint presentations Proven strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to utilize moderately complex scientific resources across a variety of different settings Prior experience working with commercial/marketing teamsPeople Leader Accountabilities:
