SLH-Sutter Lakeside Hospital Position Overview:
Provides quality direct patient care and assists in the coordination of department services. Patient care may include evaluating, treating, care management, referral coordination and follow-up with specialists, and health education. This role provides training to medical staff and instructs and counsels patients.
Job Description:
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Collect, record and maintain patient information including medical history, reports and examination results. Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury. Advise, patients, family and community members concerning treatment and prevention. Examine patients or order, perform and/r interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical conditions and determine diagnoses. Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
EDUCATION
Doctorate:
Graduate of an accredited medical school
Other:
Successful completion of a medical residency program.
Other:
Successful completion of a medical internship program.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE
8 years recent relevant experience.

The critical access designation by the federal government ensures access to healthcare services for residents of rural communities. Sutter Lakeside is the only trauma center and certified stroke center in Lake County and is accredited by The Joint Commission. Pay Range is $285,001.60 to $544,960.00 / annual salary The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
