Job Summary and Qualifications You will direct, coordinate and administer the operations and activities of the department in order to achieve the organization's established goals You will be a liaison between the Medical Staff and hospital management, and maintain good communication among all health disciplines and hospital departments You will assist the Medical Staff in accomplishing its required functions, and will be responsible for the development of positive working relationships to accomplish short and long range goals established by the Medical Staff and Administration Areas included in these operations are medical staff committees; credentialing; ongoing professional practice (OPPE), and other medical staff peer review functions You will provide support for the Chief of Staff, and function as a liaison between medical staff and hospital administration. You will be responsible for overseeing the flow of information between medical staff committees and assure information is communicated to appropriate individuals You will assure that meetings, conferences, collegial counseling and other requested meetings of medical staff are scheduled and communicated, as appropriate You will participate in the continuous readiness program for TJC and completes the annual PPR and provide oversight of the Medical Library and the CME vendor What qualifications you will need: High school diploma or equivalent required Business or professional college with academic background preferred Minimum of five years experience in medical staff management and progressively responsible administrative work A minimum of five year's supervisory experience Certification (CMSC) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) is preferred Minimum of three-five years experience in a role serving internal and external customers Excellent interpersonal relations skills with and a proven track record of leading high performance teams; skill in financial management, human resource management and project management, required Excellent organizational, clerical and computer skills; ability to prepare well written, well planned correspondence, minutes, reports Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a broad range of professionals and people of varying education and backgrounds is a 380+ bed acute care hospital dedicated to serving the residents of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties along with the Greater Conejo Valley.
