Hospice/Palliative Medicine Physician

AdventHealth Hospice Care is seeking a Medical Director to provide medical expertise, oversight, and leadership of physician services, and to be responsible for the direction and quality of the medical care rendered by the business. This physician will assume responsibility for and delegate the evaluation, certification, and recertification of terminal prognosis for hospice patients. The Medical Director will also assume responsibility for educating both medical staff and other community physicians on the principles of hospice care and palliative medicine. The Medical Director will have oversight of patients within AdventHealth s inpatient units, external long term care facilities, and through hospice at-home services. AdventHealth Hospice Care is a non-profit, local expert in compassionate, end-of-life care. Our team provides individualized care and support to patients and families 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Requirements for this position : MD or DO Ability to receive an unrestricted Medical License Preferred but not required: Board certification or training in Hospice and Palliative Care Eligible to participate as a provider in the Medicare and Medicaid programs (including any successor program to either)
