Job Description
Jupiter Medical Center, a premier independent health system serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast of Florida is seeking an experienced Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our growing inpatient medicine program. This is an exceptional opportunity for a physician leader who enjoys both clinical practice and program development, allowing you to maintain an active inpatient practice while helping shape the future of hospital medicine at one of Florida's highest-rated hospitals. Position Highlights Monday-Friday leadership schedule Dedicated time for clinical and administrative responsibilities Hospital-employed position, not a third party contractor Lead an established team of hospitalists, nocturnists, and advanced practice providers Collaborate closely with hospital leadership, nursing, case management, quality, and physician colleagues Drive initiatives focused on quality, patient experience, throughput, and operational excellence EPIC electronic medical record Competitive compensation package with 35 days PDO Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available Comprehensive benefits package including malpractice coverage, CME allowance, retirement plan, and generous PTO Leadership Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Hospital Medicine program Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing physicians and advanced providers Develop and monitor quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives Partner with hospital administration to improve efficiency, length of stay, and care coordination Foster a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and teamwork Participate in physician engagement and service line growth initiatives Candidate Qualifications Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Minimum of 5 years of hospitalist experience preferred Prior leadership experience as Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Chief Hospitalist, or similar role needed Strong communication and team-building skills Eligible for Florida medical licensure About Jupiter Medical Center Located in the heart of Jupiter, Jupiter Medical Center is a 340-bed, independent, not-for-profit regional medical center recognized for excellence in quality, safety, and patient experience.
