SPCA Florida is seeking a Medical Director for our Medical Center and Shelter Medical Department in Lakeland . Lakeland offers a great quality of life with sunshine year-round and is conveniently located less than an hour from the beaches, Tampa International Airport , and the attractions of Orlando . Florida also has no state income tax , and Lakeland remains one of the fastest-growing and most affordable cities in the U.S. Our veterinary team works Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, in a supportive, mission-driven environment where no pet is turned away due to lack of funds . Last year, our team of 5 veterinarians and skilled technicians provided care for 15,905 pets using state-of-the-art equipment, including: Digital radiology In-house IDEXX laboratory Laser therapy Ultrasonography Digital dental radiology We are also a teaching campus for senior veterinary students from Lincoln Memorial University , fostering a dynamic, collaborative learning environment.
