Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and collaborative Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as a key member of our executive leadership team. This role is responsible for advancing clinical excellence, strengthening provider engagement, and driving high quality, patient centered care across the organization. The CMO will play a critical role in shaping clinical strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Provide visible,day to daysupervision andleadership for themedicalteam, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. Provides patient centered healthcare andappropriate patientfollow up and care planning andmodelscompassion, medicalexpertise, quality, and respect for patients and colleagues. Provide leadership andaccountabilityto all medical providers, ensuring adherence toevidence basedpractices and clinical standards. Collaborate with Quality onperformance improvement projects and initiatives, ensuring clinical outcome goals are in line with local,stateand national benchmark standards (HEDIS, UDS, etc.). Collaborate withexecutive leadershiptooptimizeclinicworkflows, access to care and provider efficiency. Promote a culture of quality,safetyand continuous improvement. Establish and enforce provider productivity,documentationand quality expectations. Supervises andparticipatesin peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinicalmeetings . Ensuresclinical policies and protocols are up to date. Identifiesopportunities to expand services, improve caredeliveryand strengthen community impact. Directs staff outreach and off-site health care programs in the health center service area. Supervisesstudents in training at the health center clinic. Serves as the Center's professional training and education director. Arranges referrals for patients requiring services not offered at the health center. Reviewsincoming reports (e.g.lab, X-ray, EKG) sign, date, and follow-upin a timely manner. Complieswiththe health center infection control plan which includes personallyutilizinguniversal precautions. Ensure compliancebymedical and support staff. Conducts all outside medical public relations functions. Functions as Medical Laboratory Director. Maintains professional, organizational, and administrative responsibility for the quality of all medical pharmaceutical services provided by the organization. Participates in all safety programs, which may include assignment to an emergency response team. Regular, predictable onsite attendance. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Florida. Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Minimum of 5year sexperiencein a clinical leadership role, preferably within an FQHC setting. Board certification ina primarycare specialty.
