Position Summary:
The RN EMS System Coordinator provides clinical oversight, administrative management, quality assurance, and educational leadership for the Silver Cross EMS System (IDPH Region 7 Resource Hospital).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides clinical oversight, administrative management, quality assurance, and educational leadership for the Silver Cross EMS System (IDPH Region 7 Resource Hospital). Serves as the central operational liaison between the hospital and EMS partner agencies. Leads the operational workflow, clinical quality, and growth of the health system's Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) / Community Paramedicine programs. Ensures full system compliance with Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Emergency Medical Services regulations (77 Ill. Adm. Code 515) and advances pre-hospital clinical excellence throughout the region.
Required Qualifications :
Education and Training :
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited college or university required. Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or Master's Degree (MS) from an accredited college or university preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in an Emergency Department or Critical Care setting required. Clinical experience in pre-hospital setting preferred. Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois required. Active Paramedic license in the state of Illinois preferred. Lead Instructor (LI) preferred. Current
BLS, ACLS & PALS
certifications are required.
TNCC, ECRN
required.
