Fort Wayne, IN Overview :
Join a reputable behavioral health team as a Psychiatrist Medical Director in Fort Wayne, Indiana, overseeing a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric facility. This pivotal leadership role combines providing compassionate in-person psychiatric care to adults and geriatrics with strategic partnership with hospital administration to uphold quality standards and align clinical operations with institutional goals. Required Skills :
MD or DO with completed psychiatry residency Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license Active and unrestricted DEA registration Inpatient psychiatric experience Strong leadership and collaborative skills Ability to manage clinical workflows and supervise nurse practitioners (if applicable) Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Education and Experience :
Prior experience in a leadership or medical director role in an inpatient psychiatric setting Proven ability to partner with hospital administration and multidisciplinary teams Experience with telemedicine consultation and IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) is a plus
Other Requirements :
Ability to commute or relocate to Fort Wayne, Indiana Willingness to participate in voluntary after-hours and weekend call rotations Must hold a state medical license and DEA registration in Indiana Compliance with all relevant hospital and regulatory standards Additional certifications or training related to psychiatric care are advantageous Why Choose StaffMed Health Partners?
