Veterinary Medical Director Worcester, Massachusetts Lead an AAHA-Accredited Hospital | Collaborative Culture | Fear Free Certified Team | Leadership Opportunity Global Talent Partners is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinarian looking to take the next step into clinical leadership as Veterinary Medical Director within a progressive, AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. This is an outstanding opportunity to combine hands-on clinical work with leadership responsibilities while helping shape the future of a growing, highly respected hospital. You'll work alongside an established management team to continue developing an already exceptional culture focused on collaboration, mentorship and outstanding patient care. The Role The successful candidate will divide their time between practicing high-quality medicine and providing clinical leadership.
Responsibilities include:
Mentoring associate veterinarians Supporting clinical excellence throughout the hospital Working closely with the Practice Manager on hospital development Encouraging team engagement and collaboration Maintaining high medical standards Supporting continued hospital growth and service expansion Remaining actively involved in medicine and surgery This role would suit an experienced veterinarian who enjoys coaching colleagues while still spending the majority of their time practicing medicine. The Hospital This established general practice has developed a loyal client base throughout Central Massachusetts and continues to invest heavily in its facilities and team.
The hospital currently features:
AAHA Accreditation Fear Free Certified doctors and technicians Cat Friendly initiatives Dedicated surgery suite Digital radiography Digital dental radiography Ultrasound Electrocautery equipment Heska in-house laboratory External reference laboratory support Visiting Internal Medicine specialist Cardiology support including echocardiography Planned expansion including additional exam rooms and a dedicated dental suite The clinical caseload includes: Preventative medicine Internal medicine Dentistry Soft tissue surgery Outpatient urgent care Wellness care Exotic animal medicine Diagnostic imaging Routine procedures include spays, neuters, dentistry, mass removals, gastrotomies and a wide variety of medical cases, ensuring an engaging and diverse workload. The Team You'll be joining an experienced team of multiple veterinarians, highly skilled Certified Veterinary Technicians and long-serving support staff. Several doctors have remained with the practice for over five to ten years, reflecting the hospital's positive culture and strong leadership. Communication, mentorship and teamwork are central to daily practice, with every member of the team encouraged to contribute to continuous improvement.
