The Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) seeks a BC/BE Child Abuse Pediatrician to become Medical Director of its Child Advocacy and Protection Program (CAPP). This multidisciplinary program and experienced team enjoy significant philanthropic and institutional support, providing consultations for a variety of clinicians and Child Advocacy Centers throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. Regional coordination and standardization of services is well under way. An essential component of this position will be the education of medical students, residents, and other health care professionals at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth; eligibility for academic appointment at a rank commensurate with experience will be expected. The Medical Director is employed by Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic, the multispecialty group practice for Dartmouth-Hitchcock, a leading academic population health system headquartered in Lebanon, NH, on the border of Vermont in the Upper Connecticut River Valley. Home to Dartmouth College, the Upper Valley is a vibrant academic and professional community offering excellent schools and lively arts in a rural setting only a few hours from New York City and Boston. CHaD maintains a second major clinical hub in Manchester, NH, a small city nearer to Boston in the southern part of the state where large numbers of families served by CAPP live. New Hampshire boasts many other rural and suburban communities offering excellent quality of life in between Lebanon and Manchester. The Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) is the child and adolescent health service of Dartmouth-Hitchcock (D-H), New Hampshires only academic health system. CHaD has major hubs in Manchester and Lebanon, NH, two of D-Hs six integrated multispecialty group practice locations across NH and Vermont. 65 beds, including pediatric and level III neonatal intensive care units, are located in Lebanon at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
