Job Description

Medical Records Director Location :
Hearthstone Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (Medford, OR)
Schedule :
Full-time, standard business hours
Pay :
$50,000-$60,000 per year (salaried, depending on experience) Hearthstone Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is part of the Volare Health network of long-term care, skilled nursing, and short-term rehabilitation communities across multiple states. Responsibilities :
Prepare and set up medical records prior to resident admission Review and audit records regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with facility policies Communicate documentation deficiencies to the Administrator and Director of Nursing Provide required information to the business office to support admissions Process and send correspondence to physicians Manage records for transfers and discharges, maintaining accurate documentation for discharged residents Organize, file, and store medical records in compliance with policies and regulations Ensure strict confidentiality of all medical record information Prepare reports, statistics, and documentation as requested by leadership Provide records for interdisciplinary meetings and audit charts prior to conferences to correct deficiencies Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred At least one year of experience in a similar role preferred Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and team members Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new systems Must pass a criminal background check and reference screening
