In this pivotal role, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure the highest standards of patient care, and drive strategic initiatives to enhance mental health outcomes. Your leadership will inspire a team of dedicated healthcare professionals while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards. Duties Provide clinical leadership and supervision for thepsychiatric team, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care aligned with best practices and regulatory standards Develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols in accordance with
HIPAA, FDA
regulations, NCQA standards, and other applicable guidelines Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans and optimize clinical outcomes Lead utilization management efforts by reviewing case appropriateness, managing hospitalizations, and ensuring efficient resource use Drive clinical research initiatives to advance psychiatric treatments and integrate evidence-based practices into daily operations Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to document patient interactions accurately and efficiently Supervise psychiatric nurse pradctictioiners and support personnel to foster professional development and maintain high standards of care Ensure compliance with managed care policies and healthcare management protocols across all service lines Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Psychiatry; additional leadership or management certifications are a plus Proven experience in residential settings or healthcare management with a focus on mental health/addiction services Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical development in psychiatry Strong understanding of managed care processes, utilization management, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA and FDA guidelines Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in clinical environments; ability to motivate teams effectively Familiarity with EMR systems, EHR systems, and medical records management software Experience in clinical research or participation in research projects is highly desirable Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments and engage stakeholders at all levels Join us as a Psychiatrist Medical Director where your expertise will lead transformative mental health initiatives!
