- Full-time Overview We are seeking a high-caliber Manager of Medical Education to lead and expand our educational footprint.
You will be responsible for developing and selling Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs directly to pharmaceutical companies while simultaneously working with medical foundations to assist on strategic initiatives and management. The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate a strong interest in the intersection of medical education, association/foundation management, and strategic business development. This individual will be comfortable operating in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment that requires both relationship-building and revenue growth. Candidates with experience in leadership roles such as Director or Associate Director of Medical Education, Sales Managers, MSL Director (MSLD), or similar healthcare education leadership positions are strongly preferred. Additionally, healthcare providers, including Advanced Practice Providers (NPs, PAs, CRNAs) or nurses, who are seeking to transition into medical education or sales are encouraged to apply. This role involves frequent interaction with pharmaceutical and medical device companies, as well as key opinion leaders (KOLs), physicians, and senior-level healthcare providers. A genuine passion for engaging with these stakeholders and contributing to high-impact educational initiatives is essential. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Design and execute a multi-year medical education roadmap that aligns with organizational goals.
- Identify and penetrate new therapeutic areas (e.g., Sleep Medicine, Neurology) to diversify our educational portfolio.
- Integrate digital and traditional educational tactics to maximize reach and engagement. Grant Acquisition & Funding
- Take full ownership of the CME grant lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to securing funding and reporting outcomes.
- Aggressively pursue new funding streams to ensure the long-term sustainability and expansion of our conference series. Stakeholder & Foundation Management
- Serve as the primary liaison to our non-profit foundations, developing niche educational initiatives and single-topic opportunities for major medical congresses.
- Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), physicians, and professional staff to ensure program relevance and participation. Program Execution & Quality Control
- Oversee the end-to-end planning and evaluation of CME programs, ensuring all activities meet the highest clinical and regulatory standards.
- Utilize data-driven insights to measure program impact, participant outcomes, and ROI, making real-time adjustments to enhance effectiveness. Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Funding Growth:
Meeting or exceeding annual targets for educational grants and strategic partnerships.
Program Expansion:
Successful launch and scaling of programs in new therapeutic categories.
Stakeholder Satisfaction:
High retention and engagement rates among faculty, physicians, and partner organizations.
Market Presence:
Measurable increase in the organization's reputation and "share of voice" within the GI and Hepatology communities. Skills
Experience:
7-10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or a related commercial role OR 5+ years of direct patient care experience as an NP, PA, CRNA, or nurse.
Grant Expertise:
Proven track record of developing, securing, and managing medical education programs or initiatives.
Relationship Management:
Demonstrated ability to gain immediate credibility with physicians and executive-level stakeholders.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal skills; ability to translate complex medical needs into compelling business cases.
Sales Experience:
Background in sales, OR a strong interest in transitioning into a sales-focused role within a healthcare setting.
Healthcare Background:
Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical education agencies, healthcare foundations, academic medical centers, or similar environments strongly preferred Solid understanding of healthcare-focused business development, sponsorship strategy, and educational partnerships
Drive:
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Travel:
Ability to travel domestically as required for conferences and stakeholder meetings.
