Description:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead clinical trial strategy, design, and execution for oncology studies, with a focus on multiple myeloma. This individual will serve as the primary medical lead and Medical Monitor, ensuring patient safety while partnering cross-functionally to drive high-quality clinical development programs. This is a high-impact, fully remote contract opportunity ideal for a physician-scientist with strong industry experience and a passion for advancing cancer therapies. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of clinical study protocols, Investigator's Brochures, and Clinical Development Plans Serve as Medical Monitor, overseeing patient safety and reviewing clinical data for assigned trials Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Data Management, etc.) to ensure efficient study execution Contribute to regulatory submissions including INDs, CTAs, safety reports, and responses to health authorities and IRBs/Ethics Committees Provide clinical and scientific input into key study documents (ICFs, CRFs, SAPs, CPAPs, CSRs) Support lifecycle management and data generation strategies to address unmet medical needs Partner with Medical Affairs teams to support scientific communications, publications, and external engagement Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), investigators, and external stakeholders Stay current on scientific and clinical advancements through literature review and conference participation Author manuscripts and contribute to publication plans Present data at scientific and medical meetings as needed Participate in business development and due diligence activities as appropriate Qualifications MD, DO, or PhD required (MD/DO strongly preferred) 5+ years of clinical trial experience in academic or industry settings Minimum 3 years as an attending physician in oncology, hematology, internal medicine, or related specialty Oncology experience required; multiple myeloma experience strongly preferred Prior pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience, including clinical development and/or trial leadership Strong understanding of GCP, clinical study design, regulatory requirements, biostatistics, and pharmacokinetics Experience contributing to regulatory submissions and scientific publications Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
