Medical Director - Physician

Job Overview Sterile Technique Wellness Center is looking for a dynamic and experienced Medical Director - Physician or Nurse Practitioner to lead our wellness center and ensure high-quality patient care, and uphold regulatory standards within our healthcare organization. This pivotal role combines clinical expertise in wellness and with strategic leadership, driving initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, streamline medical management processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. As a Medical Director, you will oversee medical staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and contribute to the development of innovative cl programs that align with organizational goals. Your leadership will inspire teams, promote best practices in patient care, and uphold the highest standards of medical excellence. Responsibilities Provide expert medical oversight across all clinical services, ensuring adherence to the wellness center policies, NCQA standards, and HIPAA regulations. Lead and supervise medical staff, including RN's and allied health professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on exceptional patient care. Develop and implement clinical protocols aligned with FDA regulations, healthcare management best practices, and current research to improve service quality. Oversee utilization management processes to optimize resource use while maintaining patient safety and care standards. Manage medical records and documentation systems within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance. Collaborate with the wellness center administration on budgeting, staffing plans, and project management initiatives to support organizational growth. Stay abreast of advances in wellness, anatomy knowledge, clinical development, and healthcare trends to inform practice improvements. Experience Experience in Wellness or healthcare management settings with proven supervising and leadership roles. Strong background in managed care principles, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA and FDA guidelines. Demonstrated expertise in EMR/EHR systems utilization for documentation, research data collection, and quality assurance purposes. Experience in wellness or clinical development projects that enhance patient outcomes or operational efficiency. Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of patient care and staff supervision. Knowledge of NCQA standards related to healthcare quality accreditation and compliance requirements. Skilled in project management with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while adhering to timelines.
