This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced emergency services professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, developing high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence. The Director will be responsible for the overall performance of the emergency department, ensuring efficient operations, outstanding patient experiences, and strong clinical outcomes. This role provides leadership not only to emergency services staff but also to several supporting departments that play a critical role in patient care and facility operations. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership for the freestanding emergency department Oversee daily department operations, staffing, resource management, and service delivery Lead and support ancillary departments, including Imaging, Laboratory, Admitting, Security, Environmental Services, and other support functions Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care Monitor quality metrics, patient satisfaction, operational performance, and departmental goals Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies Lead performance improvement initiatives designed to enhance patient care, safety, and operational efficiency Conduct employee and patient rounding to identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen engagement Coach, mentor, and develop leaders and staff while supporting succession planning efforts Collaborate with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support organizational objectives and community needs Evaluate emergency services programs and implement strategies that promote growth and service excellence Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing required Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the applicable state required Minimum of three years of emergency services experience required Minimum of three years of leadership experience required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Benefits Relocation assistance available on a case-by-case basis Annual performance incentive opportunity Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings program Generous paid time off Employee wellness and assistance programs Continuing education and professional development support Leadership growth opportunities within a multi-facility healthcare system Monday through Friday day-shift schedule with no weekend requirements This is an excellent opportunity for an emergency services leader seeking to make a meaningful impact within a progressive healthcare system while leading a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional emergency care.
